Alright I’m just going to warn you all now that this is going to be a long post so I’m sorry but I’m so happy and so thankful for this special day that Duskin and I had!

Duskin and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Snowflake, Arizona temple on July 13, 2013. Best decision I have ever made! It was seriously the best day of my life. I felt so much love from both sides of our family that day. We had so much support and seriously couldn’t have done it without our parents. My mother was a HUGE part of it! She seriously did everything for our reception. I was so tired of planning I pretty much left it up to her do it and she did an AMAZING job! But she couldn’t have done it without the help of my AWESOME dad he built everything for it. He hung lights, made crates, painted candy machines, and made and painted ALL of the picnic tables. I wanted picnic tables so bad and I’m so glad he was willing to do everything! He NEVER even complained once! He was so happy to do everything that he could! And we ae so thankful for Duskin’s parents for the amazing luncheon they made for us. His mom made most of the food for the luncheon and it was delicious! There were MANY that helped set everything up and helped made everything for our reception and I’m SO thankful for all of them! Here are pictures of the day my life changed forever and I became Mrs. Donaldson!!

This is seriously my favorite picture of us dancing because this is exactly how it went! Most first dances are so sweet and romantic and ours was just hilarious! I had NO idea what I was doing and I under estimated Duskin. He knew how to dance and I was totally tripping over my feet! It was quite funny! Everyone watching us was laughing at me because I was so lost! Definitely a moment I will never forget!

Two of Duskin’s mission companions were able to come for a wedding. It was great to meet them and see an awesome friendship come from a companionship!

Best Question I Have Ever Answered

Duskin had dropped hints that he was going to be asking soon. We were going to Thatcher for the weekend for my sister Jessica’s graduation and I was so sure that this was going to be the weekend he was going to ask my dad and because he had told me he was going to get the ring the following weekend with his mom. Well the Wednesday before he had asked me (May 8th) we were supposed to hang out. Well Duskin had text me and told me that he was going to have to work late because Marcus (his brother in law/boss) needed him to do a few things and that we weren’t going to be able to hang out that night. I was so sad! I then called my mom and was just talking to her about him being at work and how I missed him and needed someone to talk to. At the time she was acting kind of weird about it by saying I’m sure everything is fine and he just had a lot to do. I wasn’t worried that he wasn’t at work so I wasn’t sure why my mom was saying all that but I thought nothing of it really. Well Friday had come and that was when we were going to be going to Thatcher. I had gotten off late from work and Duskin was waiting at my house so that we could leave as soon as we could so we wouldn’t be late for the graduation. I got home and hurried and put my stuff together and changed and was about ready to go. I told Duskin I was all ready to go and he looked and me and walked me back into my room and told me that we needed to talk. So we sat on my bed and he looked at me with a sad look on his face and I had no idea what was going on. He then said “you know how I told you I had to work on Wednesday night?” I answered yeah. He looked at me and said well “I wasn’t working…” I just looked and him and all that was going through my mind was ‘Great! Where the heck were you!’ I then answered “alright well where were you then!?” He then just looked at me for a minute with the most serious face and said “well…I went and talked to your dad.” And he started to get a little smile on his face. All that was going through my mind was ‘Ha! Ya right! That’s a two and a half hour drive just to get there! There is no way you drove all the way there and back in one night just to talk to my dad when we are going to see him tonight!’ I just looked at him and laughed “no you didn’t!” He looked at me surprised and was all “yes I did!” I then said again “no you didn’t!” He then smiling and completely serious said “Yes I did.” I then just smiled and looked at him. We both just sat there for a minute staring at each other, with me thinking ‘alright so now what.’ Because he just sat there for a minute and didn’t do anything. But then he got down on one knee completely nervous and blushing and pulled out a ring box from his pocket and asked “Emery, will you marry me?” I was so surprised and just answered “are you serious?!” Duskin looked at me like uh duh. I then very excitedly answered “YES!!”

And that was one of the best questions I have ever answered!! I love him so much!
